Day 04 Bromo Sunrise Tour – Surabaya Transfer to airport

Morning call at 03.00 AM, start your journey at 04.00 AM to enjoy the beauty o f nature and the splendid sunrise at Mt. Penanjakan. Then proceed to Mt. Bromo crater through the shimmering sea of sand. After having breakfast and taking a bath in hotel, you will be transferred to Juanda airport Surabaya for your next destination flight.

Day 05 Ijen Trekking Tour and transfer to Bali

Breakfast at Hotel. Early morning depart to the whole day excursion to Mt. Ijen. Ijen Crater shows a special type of volcanic feature common to Indonesia, about 1 km in diameter and 175 meters deep. The floor is covered completely by a warm lake, milky blue green in color, held back by a dam built many years ago by the Dutch, in order to keep the hot mineral, laden water from raining for the crop lands below. Trekking down the mountain and rejoin the coach and directly drive to Ketapang, Banyuwangi, the ferry harbour, to cross to Gilimanuk harbour Bali. Three hours later you will arrive at your hotel in Kuta / Sanur / Nusa Dua area.

The second day tour will begin with breakfast, then head for Borobudur Temple which is located in Magelang Region. The last day tour will be filled by visiting the historic area in Yogyakarta.Sultan Palace becamos the first tourist destination on the last day. If it comes at the right moment, you are not only seeing the beauty of its architecture but also you can see a variety of traditional art performances such as macapat Java, gamelan, Javanese dance. From the palace, you will be invited to Taman Sari Water Castle using a pedicab through the village.

A. SUKUH TEMPLE

During your Java and Yogya tours, you also can visit one of the Javanese most mysterious and impressive temples. The Sukuh temple stands at the height of 900 meters above the sea level on the western slope of mount Lawu, about 36 km to the east of Solo (Surakarta). The main structure has a shape of a pyramid with three terraces and is made of rough-hewn stones. Although the temple’s design is reminiscent of Mayan pyramids, the reliefs and statues have Hindu background. Unlike other Hindu temples in Indonesia, this one is famous especially for its sexual scenes and symbols, among others yoni-lingga relief.

B. MOUNT BROMO

Not just this sandy plain surrounded by craggy peaks but the whole area makes a strange “end of the world” feeling, particularly at sunrise. There are several hotels for visitors in Cemoro Lawang, which is the highest village in Tengger massive and closest to mount Bromo.

C. IJEN CRATER

Ijen Plateau is a part of a natural reserve and consists of a large caldera and a group of dormant stratovolcanoes. The Ijen landscape is dominated by the volcanic cones of Ijen (2400 m) and Merapi (2800 m) on the north eastern edge of the plateau and Raung (3332 m) on the south western corner. The most impressive place here is the crater with a beautiful acidic lake on the top of Ijen volcano, where hundreds of local men extract sulphur. There also large coffee plantations , hot springs, waterfalls and a few settlements in the plateau.

These three places are examples of destinations that can be visited during Java overland tours. To see Jogja’s silver artists in action, visit Kota Gede, about 2 miles southeast of Jalan Malioboro, accessible by bus or becak.

The area’s main street, Jalan Kemasan, is heavily populated with silver workshops turning out fine filigreed silver craft and jewelry. While you’re in the area, visit the Royal Cemetery, the burial place of Mataram Kings who established their capital in Kota Gede in the 1500s. As the Cemetery is a religious place of pilgrimage, conservative clothing is required for visitors.
